Dr. Myachykov Andriy

Andriy Myachykov is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Northumbria University Newcastle. He is the leader of the Cognition and Neuroscience research group and the Deputy Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange at Northumbria University Psychology Department. Andriy’s background combines graduate degrees in Linguistics and Cognitive Science. Andriy pursues a broad research agenda ranging from psycholinguistics of sentence production and comprehension to embodied theories of knowledge representation and neuroscientific and behavioral studies of bilingualism. Professor Myachykov is also a Leading Research Fellow and an invited professor at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow where he coordinates the activities within the Cognitive Control, Communication, and Perception research group at the Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience. Andriy’s teaching expertise includes courses in Psychology of Language, Introduction to Cognitive Psychology, and Neuropsychology and Cognitive Science.
